Senior Year
Poem by Leanne Kirst
This poem is about how society is like as a senior in high school. It captured the anxiety of kids trying to figure out their lives in their final days of school.
In crowded halls and shifting trends,
A senior navigates, time bends,
Balancing the moments they can't rewind,
With dreams that flicker in their mind.
Social scenes and endless tests,
Finding time for self, for rest.
A would of choices paths unclear,
They chase a future, hold it near.
In laughter shared and late-night talks,
In dreams and fears, in midnight walks,
They grasp for life with all their might,
Trying to live through day and night
