Rising Star: Keylan Montgomery Poised to Make Waves in the Basketball World

With standout performances and a growing reputation, Keylan Montgomery is quickly becoming a name to watch this season. The Liberty High School star has been turning heads with his impressive skills, determination, and leadership on the court.
 

1. What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your basketball career so far, and how did you overcome it? “The biggest challenge I faced is when I broke my foot, I had to sit out almost 2 seasons bc the wound wouldn’t heal right, all I did was rest and pray, it was a major setback but I came back and pushed myself and practiced hard as I could” - Keylan Montgomery

 

2. What’s been your focus in training, and how do you stay motivated to keep improving? “ My main focus has been my mom and my grandma, sadly my grandmas life was cut short due to cardiac arrest, and she used to always tell me, “push yourself as hard as you can, I’m going to come to one of your games after you recover” and she was never able to see me so I push myself to the best of my abilities for her and my mom is my #1 supporter

Who has been the biggest influence on your game, and how has their guidance helped shape you as a player? ”My biggest influence is by my mom and my coach, my mom is always telling me to push myself, and my coach sees something in me that I don’t even see in myself, so he places me at these high standards to get me to be the best that I can be” -  Keylan Montgomery
