A Light Has Gone

Today, the world grew quieter, still

A gentle soul has left the hill

The hands that shaped so much of me

Now rest beneath the silent tree.

His voice, once strong, now fades away,

But in my heart, it still will stay

The laughter shared, the wisdom passed,

A love that even death, cant outlast

The years were kind, though time was brief,

He leaves behind a quiet grief

Yet in each tear, a memory gleams,

A thread of hope within our dreams

The world moves on, as world will do,

But something shifts when we lose you

No longer will your footsteps sound,

Yet in my heart, you'll still be found

Though your chair is empty, your love is near,

In every quiet moment, I'll feel you here

A light has gone, but I still see,

Your love lives on inside of me
