REVIEW - His & Hers
I recently watched the show His and Hers, and it left me with a lot of questions...especially about why it ended the way it did.
His and Hers is a mystery thriller that gained significant popularity on social media, largely because of its suspense and unexpected plot twist.
The show follows a young woman named Anna who returns to her hometown to investigate the mysterious murder of a former friend. As the story unfolds, new clues and events are revealed, gradually explaining what led up to the crime. Members of Anna’s old friend group begin getting murdered one by one, creating a dark and tense atmosphere throughout the series.
In the end, the killer is revealed to be Anna’s mother. She had discovered old video clips showing Anna’s friends allowing her to be assaulted by a group of men. This shocking reveal stunned many viewers, including me.
The show became controversial because of its ending. To get other perspectives, I asked several people whether they had watched it and how they felt about the conclusion. I spoke with my coworker, Kiera, who said, “It didn’t sit right with me that she still ended up with her brother’s friend.” I agreed — if someone’s family member committed such a gruesome act against you, it would be difficult to remain connected to them.
I also asked my best friend, Noah, whether he suspected the killer before the final reveal. “I had a feeling,” he said, “but I wasn’t completely sure." The clues throughout the series hinted at the truth without fully giving away the identity of the murderer.
Overall, the show was an engaging and suspenseful watch. Despite its controversial ending, I would definitely watch it again.
