About the Recipe
This is how you make the best moist chocolate cake using simple ingredients and paying close attention to moisture and baking time.

Ingredients
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup hot coffee
Preparation
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 F (175 C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round pans or one 9-by-13-inch pan.
Step 2: In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Step 3: Add the eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Mix until combined.
Step 4: Slowly stir in the hot coffee until the batter is smooth.
Step 5: Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
Step 6: Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Step 7: Let cool for 10 minutes, then remove from the pans and cool completely before frosting.
