Have you ever been charmed before? If not, you definitely will be after listening to this album.

Have you ever been charmed before? If not, you definitely will be after listening to this album. One of the most anticipated albums of the year had finally been released. After three long years, the album of the Year was finally out. The Album “Charm” written and produced by Claire Cottril, famously known as Clairo, was released on July 12th, 2024. Charm is recognized as her 3rd studio album, following her 2nd album “Sling” which was released 3 years ago. The album includes 11 songs and sums up to a total of 38 minutes. Each song is a mixture of pop, jazz, and soft rock. When released, the album debuted at number eight on the U.S. Billboard 200 and was also nominated for a Grammy in the Best Alternative Music Album section. With each song, Clairo takes the listener on a journey and tells a story about the past three years of her life.
This album is fantastically produced and easily takes the number one stop as my favorite album ever created. Out of all 11 songs, I would say it is definitely hard for me to pick out my favorite. Although, if I had to choose one, it would have to be Add Up My Love. This song is one of my favorite songs of all time. In the chorus, Clairo sings the lines: “Add up my love
Honey, was it enough? (Ooh)
Is it ever enough?”
The song, in my opinion, is about one of her breakups and how she wondered what her ex-partner truly felt about her or does she still ever think about her? To many, this song can be relatable to the average person, which is what makes this album so great. Along with my favorite song, “Nomad” and “Thank You” are definitely up there on my list. But overall, all songs are beautifully produced and written and have made me cry on first listen. If you have to listen to a new album today, let it be this one.
