On February 6, 2024, Woodlawn High School energy was filled to the roof as the Liberty Magnet Patriots traveled to face the Woodlawn Panthers.

On February 6, 2024, Woodlawn High School energy was filled to the roof as the Liberty Magnet Patriots traveled to face the Woodlawn Panthers. From the opening both teams traded baskets. Liberty took a narrow 28–24 lead into halftime. The third quarter saw tension go up and down. Liberty’s composure under pressure kept them in control. In the final minutes, timely shots and key free throws allowed the Patriots to pull away, securing a 60–53 victory.


The matchup between Liberty Magnet and Woodlawn was more than just another regular-season game; it was a showing of determination, school pride, and fierce competitiveness. The crowd at Woodlawn cheered with every big play, creating an atmosphere that pushed both teams to bring their best. Liberty relied on disciplined execution and veteran leadership to secure the win. For students, it was the kind of battle that makes rivalries unforgettable.


Liberty’s standout of the night was Malek Robinson, whose leadership and hustle earned him Player of the Game honors. The win boosted Liberty’s already season record to 33–4, showcasing our ability to perform in high-pressure environments and events. Woodlawn proved they could challenge top teams. The game highlighted talent, rivalry, and the will to win.
