After my sophomore year, many people left football. Many players felt the change of coaches would negatively impact the team. Others felt different sports were their calling.
After my sophomore year, many people left football. Many players felt the change of coaches would negatively impact the team. Others felt different sports were their calling. In our junior year the football team improved compared to freshman year. Many players felt the coaches were working them better than the previous coaches. Training would be harsh and planning would be more strategic. I've asked around and people are saying the football team is better than it was before. I've asked players how they feel about the new coaches and one student in particular explained he felt like the new coaches are smarter and better. Although he felt the change was ‘weird and disappointing’ it was better for the team. Liberty Magnet High School football team used to be known as a losing team but ever since the change in coach the sports team has improved.
Throughout the football season the football has improved greatly. From strategies on the field to incorporating team play. During the previous year football season the same players used to play. The new coaches incorporated more players into the new game plays. I am no football coach but I can notice a difference in the positions people play. The quarter back gets rotated, line backer, defensive back. The new coaches not only care about strategy but letting the players get time on the field. This can help students get scouted by coaches to go pro. Overall the coach change had a great impact on the team and also for the school. With the team winning more games the school has more spirit and morale!
